Overflow Detection

Overflows from sewer systems may occur at designed overflow points in older combined sewer systems or at unplanned locations due to excessive flow during rain events. Monitoring the extent and locations of overflows is important both in tracking pollution releases and in understanding the level and distribution of I&I within the sewer system.
