Call for Papers: ISTT Albert Shou Student Scholarship 2026

The International Society for Trenchless Technology (ISTT) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Albert Shou Student Scholarship, specifically for our Affiliated Societies. We invite students from your society to apply for this scholarship, which aims to support exceptional academic research in trenchless technology. We kindly request your assistance in sharing this opportunity with qualified students in this field. Membership in your Society is not required; however, the submission must be approved by your Society before it is submitted by either the student or the society staff. Your involvement will help ensure that talented students gain recognition within our global community.

We are grateful to Asoe Hose Manufacturing Inc. of Jiangsu, China (ASOE) for establishing the ISTT Albert Shou Student Scholarship with an annual fund of $10,000, committed for a minimum of three years.

 

Key Items:

• Submissions must be approved by the local Affiliated Society before submission (a checkbox is available within the form).
• Students should use the official paper template and submission form (links below).
• The winner will have the opportunity to present their paper at the  International No-Dig Auckland  (28-29 October), but the form of presentation can be negotiated at a later date. Please note that no separate travel or accommodation allowance is provided; any costs associated with attending must be covered by the cash award or self-funded.

Award Details:

• Scholarship funds will be awarded to qualifying student papers, as determined by the ISTT judging panel.
• The total scholarship fund of $10,000 may be awarded as follows:
  • Best Paper Award: $4,000 to one recipient.
  • Awarded Papers: $2,000 each to three recipients.
