The German Association for Trenchless Technology is the new voice for trenchless construction and maintenance of pipelines. Our goal is to strengthen these technologies in Germany and beyond in technical, economic, and political terms.
We are not only thinking about technical standards, but also about the major challenges of our time: climate protection, sustainability, and the efficient use of resources. Trenchless construction methods can make an important contribution here – we want to demonstrate this, communicate it and develop it further together.
Around 200 members from the former RSV and GSTT now form the foundation of the GATT (German Association for Trenchless Technology). The NSTT (Netherlands Society for Trenchless Technology) covers over 200 companies, (government) agencies and people involved with trenchless techniques in The Netherlands and Belgium. Knowledge-driven and willing to make social impact they all stand together for enhancing trenchless technology.
The NSTT combines the trenchless techniques with four of the biggest challenges of today: sustainability, energy-transition, less inconvenience and the urgent housing shortage. NSTT provides knowledge, facts and figures to meet these challenges in a trenchless way. Of course all this is related to the special geological and spatial characteristics of the Delta-lands we're living in.
The NSTT unites our members: the questions and challenges of our principals and governments, the scientific knowledge from our institutes and the practical experience from our engineers, constructors and manufacturers. We believe in one-way spreading of knowledge by lectures, webinars, publications et cetera but also (and perhaps more important) we believe in exchanging experiences and contacts in live-meetings and events with our members. Because Trenchless means Together.
NSTT is founded in 1988. It has hosted the ISTT No-Dig in 1993 and 2005, both Events happening in the port of Rotterdam.
